Happy hump day! What better way to get you through the week than to drool at more donuts? …I’m really not quite sure.
These donuts were everything I could ask for; easy to make, QUICK to make, and super yummy. I found this recipe from The Busy Baker and I’m glad I gave it a shot. I whipped them up in no more than 10 minutes, and they only took about 7 minutes to bake, which is good news and bad news (because obviously I’m going to bake these again… uh oh).
Since I’ve been struggling to make some glaze for my previous donuts, I figured these would be a little bit easier to handle since it was only cinnamon and sugar that coated the donuts. Bingo – they were! I even brought these donuts to work to share with some co-workers, and the reviews were all positive! Yippee!
If you’re looking to try to bake your own donut, I would highly suggest this recipe. It’s super straightforward. The only tweak I had to make was to lightly brush the donuts with melted butter before coating them in the sugar/cinnamon combo. If I hadn’t done that, I don’t think much of the sugar/cinnamon would have stayed on the donut.
I’m now three donuts in, and I wouldn’t say these are getting easier by any means, but I do think I’m starting to get the hang of this!
Comment below any suggestions for more donut flavours you would like to see me try! I’ll maybe try to deliver some 🙂
Until next time baking friends!
